Jessica Spring worked exclusively in oils, acrylics and watercolor, until her plein air pencil sketches – intended as studies for larger works – expanded from six colors to seventy and gave rise to their own exploration. Blending Prismacolor pencils, Jessica creates miniature landscapes.
Originally from New England, where she was Creative Director for the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, as well as an Experiential Design Director (Marketing/Construction, NYC), Jessica now lives and and works in the home and studio she designed in Galisteo. Although she sometimes travels for inspiration, she finds her subject in every direction she looks in the village where she lives. When not creating fine art, Jessica is a singer-songwriter and volunteers at the Galisteo fire department.
